Communications Challenges for Razorback and Cornerstone District
This is an exciting time in the Razorback and Cornerstone Districts within the Westark Area Council. However, no change comes without it's challenges. Communication is one of those challenges and we are working to address some of the issues in the following areas:
Oinknet has been the primary communication outlet in Northwest Arkansas and continues to be an asset during this transition. The challenge is that the email list cannot be separated by location, which would allow us to communicate relevant information based on the new districts. Therefore, at this point, everyone in the database receives all email communication pertaining to both districts.
The Council is working on updating our website to include the ability for each district to have email and website communication tools specific to their specific district. We have identified a provider, secured a contract, and are working with volunteers to determine the options in the system that best fit our Unit, District, and Council needs. In the interim, please continue to use the Oinknet email list and the Razorbackscouts.org website for both Razorback and Cornerstone Districts. You may contact Trish Love at trishlove@laboroflovegraphics.com with your news items to email and event and training information to post online.
While the new Districts are working out the details of what activities and information they will share and what communication method is most productive for each, one thing is clear: Razorback and Cornerstone each want the other to be successful. Information sharing from both Districts will be a key to the success of each.
If you have any questions, please call your District Executive and they will be more than happy to assist you. For the Razorback District (Washington and Madison Counties) contact Darral Green at 479-970-7505 or dgreen@bsamail.org . In the Cornerstone District (Benton County), contact Mike Boness at 479-366-8265 or miboness@bsamail.org .
In the interim we would appreciate your patience.

Casey D. Norwood
